Our mental health champions will lead an assembly as part of the week to help children understand more about this important topic. The children spent time creating and learning about a Christingle with visitors from St James’ Church. In the afternoon they gathered together, lit the candles and sang Away in a Manger. Once again, we will be supporting Bristol’s homeless through local charity – Blonde Angel Street Team. You can help by bringing any of the specified items to school by Thursday 8th December. Thank you for your support.

Our harvest service took place on Friday. The church was full of children and their families as each class shared harvest themed songs, poetry, prayers and information about fair trade. Many donations were made to the Yate and Chipping Sodbury Foodbank. Thank you to those who were able to support.

Thank you to the Frampton Voice for sharing our recent news (see article below). We are pleased with the way our quiet area is taking shape and look forward to using it more in the warmer months. This is designed as somewhere for any member of our school community to go to reflect and be peaceful. You will also see that our SATs results success was noted. All of our Year 6 children achieved the expected standard in reading and writing last year; 81% achieved this in maths. All measures were well above local and national averages. Well done to our amazing staff and children for all their hard work and effort.

Welcome back to all children and families. We are pleased to see you all after the long summer holiday. Over the break, the staff have been busy preparing the school for your return. You may have noticed our new reflection area at the front of school. Last year, our Year 6 children kindly donated the amazing planter and this week we saw the return of the refurbished bench which has been at the school since the Queen’s silver jubilee in 1977.
