You may already know about the Iron Acton wishing tree which stands outside a house in the village next to the church. Thoughts, reflections, hopes and wishes are being collected and hung from the tree to record what is happening in our community in our current situation. Some of you may already have contributed.

School looks slightly different at the moment. Our old classroom was removed a few weeks ago and now we are waiting for anew one as soon as it is safe for the builders to begin. We will keep you posted!

I hope you have all managed well during your first week at home. Whilst many Google Classroom accounts have worked well there have been some that have had problems – thank you for your patience whilst we have dealt with these. Miss Abley has done a fantastic job at getting these sorted. Please do contact your child’s class teacher if you have any questions or problems.

Well done everyone for your enthusiasm during science week. The children took part in an array of science related activities including a visit from the Explorer Dome on Wednesday.

We had an amazing day celebrating books this week. Families took part in our poetry trail first thing in the morning then joined in with some shared writing. The children had a great time focusing on inspiring stories. Thank you to all who took part.

As part of mental health week everyone went on a big village walk today. Each class went exploring the local area whilst being reminded how important walking and fresh air are when looking after our mental health.
