We employ teaching strategies that support positive mental wellbeing and we work hard to ensure that children are not put under unnecessary pressure, particularly when sitting external examinations and tests. Our staff have had training to support them in promoting positive wellbeing in the classroom.
As this is such a small school, it enables us to know each individual child well and this means that we can respond to the needs of each pupil. Our staff are always on the playground at the beginning and end of each day, so that they are available to parents should they need to discuss anything to do with their child’s needs. We put tailored programmes of support in place to support individual children should this be required.
We have fantastic outdoor spaces at the school and we use these to support the children’s wellbeing, encouraging positive play during the school day.
