Children from years 3 and 4 went to Rock UK in South Wales yesterday to try out their brand new facilities. The children tried their hand at rock climbing and archery. Here are some of the best photos from a very exciting day!

Outdoor learning day was a huge success for Falcons class. For English, we read ‘Leaf Man’ and then had a go at making our own leaf animals. For maths, we used sticks and leaves as tens and ones to help us calculate addition and subtraction. Then in the afternoon we had PE, in which we are learning how to play cricket. We finished with geography, by devising a map of our school grounds.

We have made excellent progress in our ukulele sessions with Mr Davies. Some children have even had a go at playing a double bass!

All classes across the school had the first of four workshops with Father Malcom, all about prayer. The children discussed answers to the question, what is prayer?

Falcons class had their first music session with Mr Davis today. They learnt how to hold the ukulele properly and how to play a C-chord. They used this chord to sing the ‘Coconut’ song.

Here are some photos of our visit to the building site in Iron Acton. Lovells staff were excellent and gave us a guided tour and expertly answered some of the children’s questions. The best part was watching the big digger!
