Kestrel’s Trip to Blaise Castle

Last Friday Kestrel class went on their trip to Blaise Castle House Museum. We had lovely weather on the day so we had a chance to play in the park before we went into the museum. It was a lot of fun!

Inside the museum, we met a lady called Jo, who asked us to dress up in Victorian clothing as we prepared to play with some old fashioned toys. We got to play with some of the toys as well as making our own. After lunch we got to explore upstairs in the museum and played with old card games, puppets and illusion toys. We learnt lots about the materials toys used to be made out of and how children used to have fun with them.
