All of the children had the opportunity to visit the building site in the village last week. They heard all about site safety, got to look around one of the houses and asked questions of site manager Paul to find out how about all of the jobs involved in building a house.

Pottery club has been working hard over the last two terms to create some stunning artwork. The reception and Year 1 pupils have made leaf bowls, apple bowls, Christmas trees and hanging decorations. What amazing creativity from our youngest children! Many thanks to Abigail and Lily in Y4 for assisting each week.

 Today Eagles class were visited by Yate Heritage Centre and learnt how to weave to create textiles as the Tudors did. We also discovered what it was like to be at school in Tudor times.

Children in Eagles class had a wonderful trip to Berkeley Castle this week. The children learnt all about living in a castle as a Tudor. We had a guided tour of the castle, took part in a drawbridge building workshop and even got to dress up as Tudors.
